Lt. Gen. Nadeem Anjum

He has been appointed as the new Director General of the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) of Pakistan. His appointment was announced by the Prime Minister's Office and will take effect from November 20, 2021. He replaces Lt. Gen. Faiz Hameed, who has been posted as the Corps Commander of Peshawar.

The appointment process involved a series of consultations between Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa. A list of candidates was provided by the Ministry of Defence, and after interviews and final consultations, Lt. Gen. Anjum was selected for the role.

Lt. Gen. Anjum has a distinguished military career, including commanding roles in Operation Zarb-e-Azb and as the inspector-general of the Frontier Corps in Balochistan during Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad.
